Free online games with no download โ and no catch
"Free online games" usually means one of three things: a demo, an ad farm, or a slot machine wearing a game costume. Ours means none of those. This page is the plain-English version of what free means at Plops โ and the list of what you can play right now.
Play free, right now
- PvP ยท 3-minute matches
๐ซง Plops
A 2v2 card MOBA battle arena against real people. Build a deck, steer your hero, crack the towers. Desktop and mobile browsers.
- Kids 4โ7 ยท Educational
๐ฑ Power Kittens
A gentle rescue game that teaches synonyms (spoken aloud) and counting while a kitten drives a fire truck. Ad-free, works offline.
Coming next: Toots, a wind-powered .io arena for up to 64 players, and Paintball, a territory game where the paint that grows you is the paint that kills you. Both free, both browser-only. The devlog is where they'll appear first.
What "free" means here, precisely
| Claim | What we actually do |
|---|---|
| No download | Everything runs in the browser. Plops ships zero image assets โ all art is drawn in code โ so it loads like a web page, not a launcher. |
| No ads | There is no ad network on any of our games. Not banner ads, not "watch a video for a reward" ads. None. |
| No data selling | No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no selling of data โ it's written into the privacy policy, which is short enough to actually read. |
| No account wall | Guest play works in both games. Email accounts exist only so progress can follow you across devices. |
| No subscription | Nothing here rents. What's sold is sold once. |
So how does it stay free?
Honestly: small optional purchases. Plops sells a cosmetic theme and credit packs that speed up card collection (the full, honest breakdown is at what money does and doesn't buy). Power Kittens is free with a planned one-time level pack โ pay once, unlock a pile of levels, no subscription, still no ads. And Plops Forge, our AI tool-sharing hub, runs on tips. That's the whole business model. It only works if the games are good enough that some people want to pay, which is a much better incentive than making the game annoying until you do.
Why browser games, in 2026?
Because a link beats an install. You can send plops.io to a friend mid-conversation and be in a 2v2 together ninety seconds later โ no store, no 2GB download, no "your graphics driver is out of date." The browser is the most portable game console ever shipped, and it's already on every device you own. Our whole catalog is built for it: server-authoritative multiplayer, procedural art, pages that load fast because they're made of code, not assets.
